Pawakataka Trail
Tourism Catlins is honoured to co-ordinate this event in conjunction with the communities of The Catlins.
The Pawakataka (upturned waka) Trail will take place on 17 November 2012 and consists of five possible events - a challenging 40 km MTB course, a 21 km Recreational Bike ride, a 21 km half marathon run, a 10 km run or a 10 km cross-country recreational walk. Something for everyone.
This event is growing in popularity and in 2011 155 athletes took part.
